ABOUT us
Firstly we would like to say huge hello and welcome to Buddy's Boarding.
We are a small family run kennels in South Derbyshire, which has been driven by our passion for 'mans best friend.' We aim to provide as much of a home from home experience for your dog as possible.

So who are we? Well we truly are a family team, owned and run by Husband and Wife team, Matt and Katie alongside their business partner Jackie, who doubles as a Mother in Law/Mother. Matt and Katie live on site with our canine companions; Moose, Sam and Buddy and their feline friends Maverick and Goose.

The fun doesn't stop there, our extended family love to come and get involved and regularly nip in for cuddles when they can. Please have a look at our 'Meet the Team' page to meet our experienced staff members who also dedicate their time to making your pets stay as comfortable as possible.

Buddy's furry family

As mentioned above we have many of our own furry (and not so furry pets) of our own. We love them to bits and you may see them around so thought an introduction was only fair.

Moose
Moose is a Dogue de Bordeaux cross Bull Mastiff who is the softest of the lot. She would happily lie in front of the fire all day and longs to be a lap dog which unfortunately due to her size makes that a little tricky.

Maverick and Goose
Maverick and Goose were also both rescued to live on site to assist with the natural circle of life the country side naturally brings. If you see one of these guys around, they are more likely wanting a belly rub. The only way to tell them apart is the small white part on Goose's chest... but they both come to usual cat noises ;-P
Joey
Joey is a rescue Dog De Bordeaux cross German Shepherd (we think) - We were in the right place at the right time to offer Joey a home and bring him back to full health after a very difficult start in life.
Sam
Sam is the largest of the pack, a Great Swiss Mountain Dog. Sam wants to be friends with everyone and if you give him enough attention he will use you has his leaning tower of fuss.
Pawprints on our hearts
It truly is heart breaking when dogs cross the rainbow bridge - The years will never be long enough.

Buddy
Buddy is a Border Collie cross Labrador. He was the original family dog and been there for us all over many years. He loved to play fetch and have a cuddle (or bum scratch) with anyone prepared to oblige.

Tank
Tank was Matt and Katies first fur baby and will forever be their hearts. You don't see many Dogue de Bordeaux cross Labradors and although he may have looked big and scary, deep down underneath that tough exterior he was such big softy and a real scaredy cat.
As you may have guessed he is also the inspiration behind our Kennels and the face to our name.... Formally taking his actual silhouette and used him in our logo... playing in the garden we took pictures and literally cut out his shape using good old paint ... no further editing needed!!
